F-117 is a a stealth ground attack aircraft designed by Lockheed Martin. It was a black project by the US government before the 80's. However, due to the smaller inlet-outlet size, this aircraft can only opt for the non-afterburner engines with maximum speed of no more than subsonic. Its shape and the use of radar absorbent material as the paint makes it almost impossible to be detected by any radar on earth.The F-117A was widely used during the Gulf War in 1991. There are 64 F-117s were built and now all of them have been retired and replaced by the latest and far more advanced F22 Raptors.
